Anyone ever check their status while their application is being processed? I applied 10/19 I was sure my card was in the mail. But after verifying my card online it says invalid card. I got my QP number from a rep in Springfield over the phone now it says I am not valid. Check out my picture below to see what I am talking about.

Well, hmmm.. It says "Inactive", so hopefully that just means that your card isn't being used yet.

Has there been any updates on provisional?
Expected around 1/31 with OAPP. Uknown when because the out of state software company doesn't work on hard deadlines.
Unknown if it back dates to people already in the system, because you know, you don't want to tell people any details like whether they should wait to apply or not.

If a Dr form is going to go past 90 days people should apply. If the Dr form is not going to go past 90 days people should wait to apply until we find out.

I think there was a webinar. I'm amazed more details haven't come out. My guess is details weren't really given.

I applied online on 10/16/18. I had also already registered on the website. I called on 1/7/19 and was actually approved that same morning. The rep on the phone gave me my QP# before getting off the phone. I immediately went to verify my QP number online. It showed "active". That was before my info was even sent to the printer.

I don't know if any of this helps you, because I never actually saw mine say inactive or invalid. By the time I called to find out my QP, I was already approved. Also, I assume that you wouldn't even have a QP# unless you were approved but I could be wrong.

The screenshot is from the day that I was approved.

That rep should have explained to you the reason for your license not being valid. That person should have given you that information. :wall:

Just called spoke to operator. Submitted online with my VA med files. Operator said that haven't got to it yet. Really trying to avoid pain medication. This is fucking ridiculous. At this point its probably quicker to get a perscription of opiates and go that route to get a card. Fuck.

Edited to say that I submitted online November 2 .

At all points it will be quicker and easier to get opioids by prescription. Even after OAPP and provisional happens you will need to upload papers and picture. Then you will be stuck at one dispensary for the 90 days (OAPP). And to top it off transportation of an opened container is questionable (my nephew, high up in a police force, couldn't figure out the statute, his interpretation is you can't, but I could write the county state's attorney to as how they are prosecuting) so basically you're stuck at home unless you walk everywhere.

The law (MCPP and OAPP) may have had good intentions but too many concessions were made to the Chicken Littles and too much power left up to IDPH.

I just spoke to the MMJ Clinic that I went to.
The owner stated that they attended the meeting, and for everyone to start checking their emails beginning the 31st.
Provisional was approved, as some of you know from the letters that you have received, and the first batch of emails are supposed to be sent out by 1/31/2019. I didn't apply until 12/10/2018, but I was told that I should still expect an email for provisional.
I'm skeptical, but it gives me hope for us all.
Here's hoping it's true for all of us who really need this.

I am just in the beginning of my wait. I sent in my application on January 2nd and like to spend my time thinking that magic may happen and my license will show up in the mail before April, but I visit this page almost everyday to bring me back down to earth.

So from what I am reading, the provisional will apply to all applicants who applied online? I realize that no one seems to have any concrete information. When I was reading the new rules it sounded like the option for a provisional was only going to be given to those opiate patients. Can anyone clarify? That would be fantastic.

That's what surprised me about what I was told about expecting to get an email soon. I was doing it online, but my regular doc wouldn't sign. So, I went to a clinic who did all paperwork for me, and I saw them scanning it somewhere. So, maybe they did it online? I should have asked, because that could be the difference.

I just talked to a lady and she said they’re not approving anybody right now because of the card printing issue. The reason they sent the paper card out is because the people that were already approved and scheduled to get their cards but couldn’t because of the glitch in the software at the card printing place in Pennsylvania got the paper instead of a actual card. It’s bullshit. She said they don’t know when the glitch will be fixed but as of 3:45 today it’s not running

Illinois isn't the only incompetent party. My paper card was in Saturday's Informed Delivery, but USPS hasn't delivered mail to my whole apartment complex since Friday!! Absolutely unfuckingnelievable! After spending Saturday waiting all day, I came home early today from work so I could make it to Dispensary, but nope!!! Girl in the leasing office confirmed no mail for anyone Saturday or today. And of course the incompetent idiots had Sunday and Monday off.

Well they better still be working on applications. Just because the “printer” is down to print cards, doesn’t mean they should stop approving applications. Fixing a printer shouldn’t be that big of a deal, especially for a company. That shouldn’t take long to get handled at all. :wall::wall::wall:

The way the law is written, it does look like provisional access would apply only to those who applied online. Of course this is stupid. But because the state hasn't followed the letter of this law in SO many other instances, I actually think there's a pretty good chance they'll do the same regarding the 'online applicants only' stipulation. So it's possible you may get your provisional access paperwork whether you applied online or via email mail.

As for the opioid issue, there's been a lot of confusing info surrounding this, including bad info coming directly from the IDPH office stating that it's for the opioid alternative program only. But wording of the law is clear and unambiguous - "provisional access" to medical marijuana applies to ANYONE who applies and submits all the necessary paperwork.

Here's some good news reported last week regarding this issue:

I'd take anything you hear like that from an IDPH employee with a grain of salt. They also said provisional was only for opioids when it's very clear it's only for MCPP.

I don't think it would be practical to have provisional with snail mail applications. Someone would have to enter them into the computer which is the same as processing the application but without any of the information checking. They could sent out provisional when they get around to entering the application but that takes them 60 days to even look at it.
I've heard it both ways since the webinar, that provisional comes by snail mail and that it comes by email. If it comes by email it can be 100% automated with online applications.
