Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

I just called the IDPH. It only took me 59 calls to get through. The woman who answered was nice. I told her I was past 90 days and wanted to check on the status of my application. She told me it was approved on 12/28, and card was mailed on 1/2.

It's not shown in informed delivery today, but I'll be watching my mailbox like a hawk tomorrow!

I just heard that within 3 weeks Illinois will allow for approved medical marijuana patients to submit online for instant verification and card. Instant! Those of us who already applied the old way still have to wait 90 days according to source. I really hope that is not the case :( This information came from a doctor who works with veriheal.

Sounds like "instant approval" = provisional access. By law, this was supposed to happen on Dec. 1st.

interesting.. please tell me more
Terpenes are the flavors/smells in everything from cannabis to flowers, fruits etc. a good example is that lavender has many of the same terpenes as indicas. That’s what gives lavender it’s calming effects. Lemon and pine terpenes are found in many sativa giving the feeling of energy and alertness. Cannabis has over 200 terpenes (if I remember correctly) but only a few are studied and understood.

Here’s some more reading.

No one knows for sure until it’s officially announced. All there is at this point is speculation. No matter the source.
Even if this info was officially announced on the IDPH website (it's not), I wouldn't bet on it happening as planned. The IDPH has not done a single thing with the MCPP 'by the book' yet.

My tip would be that there's a lot more going on than THC%/CBD% and the common concept of indica vs sativa. It's worth trying something people with your issues report working but also look outside of the box.
Not to mention that different consumption methods also have different effects and strengths of effects (even with the same strain). Lots to experiment with....

Edit: Can't help but notice that we keep getting bunches of new cards on the same day, then several quiet days. More evidence that either IDPH or the out-of-state printer (Pennsylvania?) is holding cards and processing them in batches. Sucks if it happens to be your new card that sits unmailed on a desk for five days so that so that some Eagles fan can make fewer trips to the mailroom.

I’m on day 70ish and have been lurking for a while. I keep reading about people having to call dozens of times and am surprised. About 2 weeks ago I emailed one day and then called the next after no response and while I was on hold for 10-15 minutes the guy that answered was nice as others have said and confirmed recipes and told me I was probably a 3 weeks away from processing. Next day my email was also returned and had the canned your application has been receive and will be processed in order.... we cannot give statuses. I wonder if you get one call and then they starting ignoring.

Are the cards coming with postmarks on them? Seems to be a good way to figure out where the printer is if so.

Yes, this business of outsourcing the printing of the cards has me wondering - are the cards sent to applicants directly from the printer, or from the IDPH office?

Mine did not come postmarked. Instead where the stamp is, it says presorted first class postage paid brockton, ma with a permit number. No marking from the post office at all.
