Illinois medical marijuana card wait time

Any Sept. filers getting their cards yet? I filed online Sept. 13, CC was charged the same day. I'm a long time Norco user, because of permanent nerve and vascular damage from an accident. I'm hoping that doesn’t screw up my application, because there was no check box for my doctor under qualifying conditions. She just wrote in, that I was a long time opioid user.

The opioid alternative program will allow you access to you dispensary for 90 days and will not be implemented until January 1st. I dont know your diagnosis but spinal damage or injury is a qualifying condition.

Looks like I may have wasted $100. I almost lost my right leg in an accident, but they managed to save it. I couldn't walk for 2 years and still suffer with pain every day because of permanent nerve damage. Hopefully they clarify this with my doctor. I'm really tired of the pills and all the BS that comes with them. The weed works, but I don't get any choices buying off of the street.

Pritzker has been pretty vocal about full legalization. I still think there could be some benefits to having a MMJ card even if it becomes fully legal. When cannabis becomes fully legal there will be a lot of people flocking to dispensaries as soon as they open. There is a potential for shortage. I would think the MMJ dispensarys will take priority over the recreational dispensaries. Also I think they would have a higher tax on the recreational cannabis.

Trolling state workers is and slowing down the process inconsiderate to the other people that are still waiting for their cards. I can't imagine they are going to be in a big rush to handle you paperwork if they feel like you are wasting their time. I have already received my card so I have no stake in the game here. All I'm saying is be more considerate of the other people out here that are also trying to manage their symptoms. If you know it's going to slow down the process for everyone that includes you.
I would be mad about the threat to delay me getting my card beyond when I will need it the most but I imagine they know how to deal with people harassing them and that is why they usually don't answer the phone or emails. I can't imagine that is to work harder for that person when they come across a name that worked so hard at making them unable to forget.

do some home work on conditions that qualify for Illinois. find conditions that are very close to what you suffer with . print them out and return to Dr. and see if you cant get a box checked . go online , and change / update your info . or when they contact you for more info , you will be able to have handy , and email them the update. I hope all works out for you !

Yea well, I’m one of those waiting.. besides I was joking, and I’m pretty sure the other guy was too.. settle down Susie... you’ll be alright.

What was your timeline?
Shelby is full of it.. she posted yesterday that she got an email saying she was approved and it would be there in 10-14 days, then magically it appeared in her mailbox today.. I’m not buying it.. I haven’t heard of anyone else being informed of the card being approved by email.. and she also couldn’t say who the email came from.. So.. yea.. I have my doubts.

Its entirely possible. She applied 2 weeks after me and got her card in about 2 after I did. My care taker receiver her card 10 days before me. Your name says why... Illinois sucks

Good one susie, I can take it as I dish it out.. Illinois will always suck, with or without me. Getting back to the facts of the matter.. I still think she’s lying about the email.. can anyone prove me wrong? Anyone else getting confirmed approval E-Mails from IDPH? Patiently waiting any response.. and my damn card.

I sent my application online 8/30/18 charged my card 8/31/18. They emailed me yesterday saying I was approved and I should have card in 10-14 days.
That’s interesting, they charged you the day after you applied online.. I also applied online and was charged that very same day.. something is not adding up here. Who was it again that emailed you? Oh that’s right, you’re too new to tell us.

I agree with you on that.. not helping anyone

Useless email addresses and useless phone numbers aren’t helping anyone either. WE DEMAND ANSWERS LOL

Don’t worry about me calling or leaving messages, it’s fucking pointless. I’ll let y’all know when I get my card. 71 days waiting come tomorrow..
