Ikea Micro Grow Box

I just wanted to share my Micro Grow box with everyone. I used an Ikea Billy bookshelf.

This works great as each shelf can be raised or lowered with the shelf pins.
Inside shelf space is 14in x 10.5in

Lights = 30.00
I'm using three 14in T5 Lights from Home Depot. I got them on sale for 10.00 bucks each.

I was looking for a heat pad that could fit in a small space and found that most of the ones for sale are larger and need to be folded to fit it, which is not a great idea for safety. The one I found on ebay is 11in wide and comes with a digital display. It's really a dog bed warmer and the wires are so thick its bite proof.

The fan is USB powered and I'm using my old iPhone adapter to connect the USB cable to the power bar. There are so many different style fans out there. Ideally, a USB powered mini oscillating fan would be ideal, but I can't seem to find one on ebay. Anyone know where I can find one.

One note on the Mylar Blanket, its a very strong material and I cut a continuous piece so that it wraps around the door hinge as well. I used black electric tape to hold it in place. This way there is very little light leaking out and it remains and stealth box.

I created my box for geminating seeds that I will be planting outdoors this spring. I'm guessing it can also double as an isolation chamber for selfing some auto fem seeds for my collection. Right now, I've got a Royal Empress Tree growing in there from seed via ebay and some English Ivy from the local park that I'm rooting.
