I wouldn't care about being ostrascized by the other kids. I left camp once when I found out that the Christian aspect of it was downplayed by my friend to get me to go. When I told the camp counsellor I didn't want to stay she told me to look into my heart and ask Jesus for strength or something. I was 14, and I told her I did not believe in that and I didn't think anyone was listening. I left anyways. Fucking reading from the bible at bed time, gag.

I used to make it my mission to annoy the sunday school teachers. I fuckin hated church. The shit they believe. The crappy music. And having to "repent" for being a normal human with wants... What the actual fuck are these c#nts on?

It was bad enough learning about boring shit in school. Let alone boring false shit on a day when "school" should be a crime. If you can really call the bullshit they teach schooling of any form.

Living with my dad for a short period of time freshman year high school..I was always punished for just being a kid and only allowed out for school and on Wednesday night for some teen night 'coffee house' bible thing where they tell you the evils of alcohol weed etc.

It didn't work.

This was mid 90's. The only thing I didn't like about the camp was the bible stuff. That and I forgot to bring pot. It might have been more bearable if I was high.
Could have replaced all the "Jesus's" with "Shatner"

Meth has become so bad in my area. There was a flier in our mail just last week, asking for 20 Caucasian & 20 Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islanders to partake in an anonymous survey. Where each participant would be awarded $20.

I don't think they thought that one through. Why would you give a hard drug user money?

Whatever motivates someone to potentially get help is good in my eyes. Now we just need the justice system to start treating these people like someone with a physical and mental disorder (like they are) instead of like a criminal (which they become because of their illness).
