I have a great aunt who lives in southern IL.
It's nothing short of the country life.
She owns a television, but it hasn't been turned on in years.
She spends her time going to church and working around the house.
She does have a radio, so she can listen to the gospel and she enjoys 40s music.
She is getting older and she lives alone outside of her chickens.
Everytime I get to she her, she has this winkle in her eyes and a glow about her.She always as a smile on her face and a kind word no matter the subject.
Could I ever be as happy as her, I wonder?
My belief system is lacking a god or a saviour.
I fight any belief or one opinion.
I have no mental image.
I have no idea or conception outside of what I've been told.
..but I do have an impulse.
something deep inside want's it to be true.
my jury is 11-1 nay.
My outlook is also darksided and gloomy, as is my reality.
No, I will never be as happy as my aunt.
So I ask you, is ignorance bliss?
her false happness or my gloomy reality?
