Personally, I don't think the technology for growing plants with LED's is
there yet.
I use T5 CFL's for my Mothers, vegging, and clones only.
I've seen people on here use CFL's for the entire grow. But I don't.
A HID HPS bulb put's out the perfect color spectrum that plants thrive
to flower.

6x42watt cfls (900watts total?? whoa) 2 inches from the top

If vegetation is overwith, You need to drop your Nitrogen levels if your flowering now. When your leaves are that dark in color, it means that your giving it too much nitrogen.
You need to start adding more Phosphorous and Potassium.

i was using all around nutes 20-20-20 i couldnt get any flowering nutes on time, and that pic was taken on 1/4 flowering nutes and 1/4 20-20-20

it's on full str 15-30-15 now

i noticed thanks

nice man i havent see a crop harvested on just cfls

i'm going to attempt a full harvest on only cfl's, i have two different spectrum bulbs for the veg vs flowering stages. I don't really have a choice until i start my new job and my roomie moves out. So far its working great, i have a 7 day old plant under 2 26 watt cfl's with a 6500k spectrum i got at walmart, and made 2 relfectors out of beer cans, seems to be doing the trick for now

I hope you plan on adding about 10X the amount of cfl's you have right now. 2 26watt cfl's will produce a nice looking twig. right now youre wasting more money than youre saving by using cfl's.

Johnnnnnn - LED's are laser light and therefore are not spectrally correct for our use. This is also why they do not have a kelvin rating.

Bright light is the same thing as a shiny object to a moron.

ummm... led = light emmiting diode, they are not lasers.... lasers emit light in highly concentrated beam, you can grow with them but its hard to get enough light out of them to go any good. The grow "panels" i've seen have about 100 led's in a square of some configuration with red/blue leds...

i've never used them to grow and there isn't a good way to rate them so i would stay away from them for 5 or so years, they should mature into an economical version sooner or later

this is my cfl pet project i have two flowering rooms set up with hps but i wanted to try out a cheap ass cfl grow under 100$ for everything
i know the quality is shitty but my good cam broke and this is a crappy web cam i had laying around these buds are about fist sized and about 12 days from harvest. used 4x23 watt cfls and a 24 inche dual bulb shop light with the bulbs it came with lol all bought at walmart
