i planted some seeds of my first crossing i did and now im looking for my next pair to create my f2. if they have been vegging for alittle under a month from seed and one is starting to show its sacks, is this a sign of auto flower traits.... he is the best scratch and sniff and the best structure from the group but is advancing pretty fast towards flower under 24hr mh..... to use or to trash? im not trying for autos i want regs.... i just read some where that you dont want any signs of flower until 12/12.... my original p1 male did not show any signs of male untill two weeks in flower which was a big surprise...it also vegged for alittle over two months with no sign of a male...

I have had many males show sex in veg. they just exhibit traits faster and grow taller usually they need to get ready to pollinate the females. if no ruderalis were used I doubt u accidently have a auto. hope this helps

Thanks nibaini ! But I wasn't saying that I thought I had an auto. I was just reading in an old dj short book that those were signs of autoflower "traits". The male I used did not show signs of male untill a few weeks into flower, from what I read now that was the ideal male. It looked like a female, short and stocky and he did flower faster and in time to pollinate so I can see them growing faster I'n preparation for the female. this one has been growing under 24hr mh and is flowering with only 4 weeks in from seed... If this plant goes into full flower under 24 hr light then maybe it might be an auto???...

males can flower regardless of light cycle, did the crossing come from any autoflower plants? if so then this is probably a symptom of its autoflower heritage if not its just doing its normal thing and this is a good trait in regular plants, tends to mean a faster flowering time.

autoflower traits have been know to popup, but in most photoperiod plants this occurs to they will stay in kind of a half way stage while in veg. produce larger pistils, more of them odd leaves and such. still vegging but expressing sex more aggressively.

so with this said i doubt it is anything to worry about.
