If cops are going to raid a growhouse, what time do they usually do it?

warrants are usially served between 8am and 8pm. here any other times need to be specified by the judge. there not going to come in the midle of the night unless they think you have guns or a posibility for confrontation. it cost alot more money to asemble a team at 4 in the morning than it does in the afternoon. everyone i have known to get raided it almost always happens in the morning.

day, night, 4am? :joint:
its going to depend on location really...is it in a high traffic area..near a school.they would want the less people around...ive seen most raids go down around 6am...or just as the sun is rising...they want to get you asleep....less chance of them having time to react

It can happen anytime of day, mainly your run of the mill raids are going to happen early in the morning, but dont think judges dont gettin waken up in the middle of the night to sign off warrants and they'll be kickin in that door at 4:30am, just depends on the particular case, agency and location.

Most often it's going to be a nighttime raid. The problem is that they lump marijuana in with violent crime. If you're going to be selling heroin or coke, you have to have connections to other countries where they can get away with growing fields of the stuff. I don't know much about the process of making either drug, but I doubt you can grow a significant amount of poppies or coca plants in your basement and still make a profit. Also, I've met probably 100 people who've admitted to smoking pot, but only one person who tried cocaine (took a hit of crack) and one heroine user who got it while he was in jail for a non-drug related charge. How does one get those international connections? Usually it's by being a gang member, and gangs make things get violent quick. They kill informants, rival gang members, cops and anyone else who gets in their way because it's the only card they have to play. Unfortunately, all drug dealers get lumped into that camp and the cops take precautions.

Pot, on the other hand, is popular and easy to get seeds for. You can get seeds online, or you can grow bagseed. Even the worst strains of schwag grown hydroponically can yield some pretty good nug if the grower knows their stuff. This means that your average entrepreneur with a few connections in the world of dealing, can make themselves a tidy profit. They're rarely violent and often intelligent people who've found an easy way to make money in hard times. Smart growers don't own guns because they know it adds time if they do get caught. They don't resist arrest like some moron from the ghetto and they politely invoke their fifth amendment rights while they ask for their lawyer politely. They NEVER try to agitate the police in any way. Sometimes these nice people are raided at gunpoint and treated like scum.

Are some pot dealers vicious thugs? Yep, some sure are. Therefore, the cops take caution most of the time and raid when you're not expecting it. The risk is just too high. Either way, the safest thing to do is have a game plan for being raided. Don't own guns, period. Don't have a big vicious attack dog unless you want it to get shot in the head. Don't be a dumbass and try to fight the cops; that's what court is for.

You can own 5000 firearms, won't add 1 day of time to your sentence. Possession is different than ownership.
Yes, if you own a gun and it's at your uncle's house, then you'll be fine. By own, I mean having in the same location as your grow. If you have a gun in the same house that is being grown in, it can and will probably add time.

cops do raids early early in the morning. Early enough to wake roosters so they start cockodoodling..... The idea is that drug dealers and such party all night and wake up late bc they don't work.

They do adapt. So it'll prob be 2 hrs before your usual wake up time.

And if you be caught with enough weed for the Feds to notice, then having a gun, even legally, will add an aggravating clause to the charge. You'll loose the gun, and a district attorney may choose whether or not to charge you with utilizin a weapon in the comission of a felony. You may not get convicted, but the extra charge is gonna cost you about 2 grand in lawyers fees.

If you think legally owning a gun means the cops and district attorneys are just gonna let you keep it if ur caught with weed and the gun at the same time ur nuts.

Do time for what... legally owning a gun?
For some reason people like to split hairs on this issue. It's quite simple really. If you are in posession of a gun at the premises where you are growing, they will more than likely throw an extra felony charge for each gun at the premises. If someone who is growing is smart enough to get the guns off the property and take them to an uncle's house, for example, then they can't charge you for it. There are no absolutes when dealing with the police or the prosecutor but as a rule they like to throw as many charges at you as they can possibly muster up, in hopes that 1 or 2 will stick. It's bullshit but it's how they do business. Kind of like charging someone with 100 counts of trafficking for trying to sell 100 percocets or something. How is that 100 seperate counts when you are selling all 100 pills at the same time? Anybody who keeps guns where they are growing does so at their own risk. Cops don't like law abiding citizens owning guns let alone growers.:joint:

Ive seen raids go down at 6am, or late in the evening, like in a sunday night just about when youre winding down and ready for bed. Element of surprize is something they utilize quite frequently.

If the unfortunate is going to happen to you it just depends on you......they dont just want the house.....they want you too.
If they are coming...They've been watching you....they know your everyday schedule....nightjob?dayjob?4am tweeker?
It all depends.I've been told they have 48hrs after warrant is issued...or it is no longer usable.....I'm sure this is different state to state.

I've had the pleasure of being raised twice. First time it was 5:45am on a Thursday morning. Second time it was 8am on a Saturday morning. Both times all they found was enough for simple possession. But on the gun issue it really depends on the lead officer. First time I was charged with possession of a firearm while committing a crime (yeah I know right). I beat the charge very easy. Second time same 4 guns in my home lead officer said we didn't come here for firearms only drugs. So it's a toss up if they wanna pull something out there ass and charge you. Wondering why I only got simple possession both times? My wife who at the time was my girlfriend her father was the magistrate judge at the time and she worked in his office. Just goes to show again not what ya know but who ya know. Thanks for letting me drop in my 2 cents.

Isn't that the truth?! That's why it's so important to hire the best attorney around if something ever does go down.. If you feel the heat around the corner, you have to be ready to drop everything at a moments notice & MOVE!

...Or just go to a legal state & grow legally. That's always been my favorite option :P
