[h=1]How do lottery winners spend their money?[/h]
Fix school's leaky roof
Gloria MacKenzie won a $590.5 million jackpot in June, the largest single-winner Powerball prize. She donated $2 million of the pre-tax $370.8 million lump-sum payment she received to fix the leaky roof of Schenck High School in East Millinocket, Maine, where her children attended school and her daughter has taught for 39 years.

Wrestling TV show

In 2008, Jay Vargas became the youngest Powerball winner at age 19. After opting for a $17 million payout, Vargas combined his two loves — beautiful women and wrestling — to create the TV show Wrestlicious.

Water park

John Kutey donated $250,000 to build a water park — Spray Park — in Green Island, N.Y. Kutey was one of seven employees at the New York State Homes and Community Renewal in Albany who shared a $319 million Mega Millions jackpot in 2011, The (Albany) Times Union reports.

Marijuana legalization

Canadian Bob Erb donated $1 million of his $25 million winnings toward 420 Day, an annual event advocating marijuana legalization. Erb ran for office in 2001 as a member of the B.C. Marijuana Party, according to The Huffington Post.

I bought a ticket just $1 though. I know the odds are like 300,000,000 to 1, but someone is gonna win.

your more likely to be hit by an asteroid on the same day...then winning.. not even sure if CA participates in this lotto?

I was 21 when I 1st won anything.. bought a pack of smokes and had 1$ left over bought a scratch off and won 20$...bought booze..

Sound like a good night. I don't buy lottery tickets like i used to.

The most I ever won was $100 on a two dollar scratcher. I def. lost more than I ever won. That's why I stopped.

I always buy lottery tickets for family members on Christmas. I'm cheap. I buy a cheap gift for everyone and tape lottery tickets to it.

My mom won $500 on a $5 dollar ticket last year that I gave her.

if I had a business, and my employees had a pool, I would match it. Good fiscal sense. Plus, its a win-win; bigger chance of a prize for employees, a big payoff for the business that has come to a grinding halt due to no employees.
