Ideal Chip Lock 50-23 250v Max?

So I was looking at the specs on the Ideal Chip Lock holders as I will be running 8x CXB3590 with the Ideal chip holders in series off of an HLG 185 C700A driver which is 286v max. In the specs for the Ideal holders it says they are safe to touch in daisy chain applications up to 250v. Does that mean I won't be able to use those chip holders in series with that driver? Is anyone else using those chip holders and if so what kind current are you running through them?

You shouldn't have any problem putting 286V across the series. I put 400V across 11 cxb2530 with ideal holders without issue.
Awesome! Thanks so much for clearing that up for me! I had a feeling it would work but had to make sure before I had a emajor mishap with my new chips. How do you like your 2530s and which bin are you using? My original plan was to go with 2530s also, but I couldn't pass up the high efficiency of the CXB3590. Now I seem to be stuck with 16 chips I probably won't use. I suppose they will get used eventually, but I'd most likely only run them @ 300mA for highest possible efficiency.

I use the cxb2530 3000k 80cri U2 bin at 500mA which is about 49% efficiency. It works well, but like you said, not the most efficient thing out there. Still a viable option either way depending on price.
