Id like to know if my flora series hydroponic nutrients are mixed
properly. Since I wrote this I already dilluted the nutrient solution
by about 3:1 for my seedlings. Please tell me about the picture if the
nutrient solution looks too dark or too light. The picture shows "half strength"
supposidly... Please by all means let me know what the nutrient solution
should look like. Is it too dark, too light, or just right? I used half strength
in this container. PLEASE let me know. Thanks.

if you were about ready to pour that into a nice sized hydroponic reservoir, i would say that is ok, but i use the exact same nutrients as you and my 16 gallon tank is lighter in color than that. you need to be mixing those by teaspoons to the gallon. you add the micro to the solution first, then the grow and finally the bloom. take the time to stir well between ingredients, otherwise you will cause your nutrients to lock up.

i hope for your sake that you have a ppm meter as well, because that really takes the guessing out of your nutrient strength. and since we're on the subject of meters, do you have a Ph meter? if not, get one. it just may save your plants' lives.

since you noted that these are seedlings, i would probably wait at least 2 weeks before you start giving them nutrients and you could safely go longer than that. if you are growing in soil, this is especially true if you have decent soil because it will already contain everything your seedlings need for the first few weeks.

also, you might want to consider starting off at a weaker concentration than 1/2 strength, say, 1/4 strength or maybe an 1/8th. this way you can slowly increase your concentration without shocking the plants or burn them.

well, was this long winded enough? i sometimes have the tendency to ramble. :peace:

good luck
