Ok.. so i am just finishing my first grow, has had it's ups and downs with plenty of mistakes.
Both plants in soil
started on FF growbig, but switched to jacks 321 at flower and the plants LOVED it... not extra nutes at all.

Mainly looking on advice when to harvest..

I have 2 babies going on coco now but no pics today..

1 plant is a Jack Herer that has been a pain in the ass since a baby. never stretched, never got tall but put out some decent buds, today is week 7 and i think it's just about ready to chop. It doesn't have near the trichomes of my other plant, i am expecting it to not be great, but learned a lot.

I took a couple of pics before work as good as i could. There is a bit of amber still some clear, but my eyes are crap and not sure.. The plant is still on nutes, haven't flushed due to not sure when to start.

Second is the Durban Poison.. this plant just loves life and never once gave me an issue. Although the buds aren't massive, i didn't know what to expect anyway. Here are some close ups of it.

And one more of the durban...

And here is the Herer, it's about 18" tall.. just a run.. but decent buds. The burning was from a mistake a few weeks back.. added tiger bloom :( 2 days later it was cooked bad..

Thanks to anyone that sees this :)

Thanks guys, i have a HORRIBLE green thumb... much like relationships anything i touch dies :) Someone told me to chop that herer ASAP... i'm gonna flush for 1 week then cut it unless it's going to be too late? I hate couchlock.. i should probably have cut it at the first amber..

Your timing seems good. Still some white pistil dealios.

I harvested too soon once. Looking at trichs on upper leafs only and seeing some amber. Louzy high.

Fun times!

well, that';s how we learn.. thing i hate is that herer seems to have like no trichs compared to the durban.. even with the naked eye..but it will be fun to see how it comes out

Ahh.. yeah i was wondering if i should check lower.. or only cut buds with more amber.. or just all at once...

Went home last night and looked at my 2 grown plants with a scope (which sucks and take 5 minutes to see anything) and the herer has a bit more amber than i would like, the Durban has a lot of cloudy with a few amber.. Thinking i might chop both on sunday. Dunno...
but here are my babies... They look kinda bad at the moment, the bigger one is a durban clone that is LST'd a ton and looks bad still, the other is a white widow from seed that i have topped but not started LST yet, soon.

They are ok, this is my first grow in coco and the leaves seem a little bright to me, like nitrogen is missing. I'm not sure though.

Are you testing your ph in coco
I PH at 5.5 i was told 5.0 for coco but that just seems low and 5.5 should be safe i would think. I'm using the same food as i did in soil, just reacting differently well.. cause no soil :) This is only my second pair of plants so not sure if they just darken up as they get older or if this is not normal. The durban actually looks like it has a few leaves curling also.. not bad yet though.

One thing i am curious about is if it is nitrogen would bumping up my calcium-nitrate up the nitrogen also? or should i use something else?

Idk anything much about hydro lol. That was all my hydro knowledge. Poof.
thanks though :) yeah, it's new to me for sure.. the durban is growing insanely fast, the main stalk is as big as my main plants already. I'm sure that's cause it's a clone though and not the coco's fault though.

PH could be an issue.
I do Coco feedings @ 5.8 to 6.2.

Never heard of anyone using 5.0 to 5.5.

This is my goto Coco College site.
