i believe that they do work, but they only work well enough to eliminate subtle household odors, not pungent, skunky goodness.

Yeah they work, and are only really use for people with allergies n asthma n stuff..
If you want an ionizer air purifier go take a look see on ebay therea a bunch for real cheap.
