im convinced fim is a urban myth...ive tried it a few times and it just cuts the leaves in half and grows normal...get in there and take both leaves out and the 4 leaves coming out of the crotches below will be the tops.

lol! It works, just not all the time. If you don't take enough of the shoot, it just grows like you said.

Cuz if it works you can end up with more bush! I topped my plant once normal, then fimmed the 2 new growths about a week later. I ended up with 8 tops total, which should have only been 4. The downside of not cutting enough off is you just wasted a few days for nothing.

The same thing happens when you top and retop. It's the same thing but topping is very sure and you can actually know how many colas you're going to get. Whatever works for you.
