I think my plant is taking way too long to bud.

So I started my plant from a seedling. This is my first time doing organic. I had twelve, all from bag seed and only one turned out to be a female. Fucked up. I kept one other male because the strain, whatever it is, grew pretty big in veg in only 2 months and i wanted seeds from the female. Mind you this is all indoor. I have a 400 metal halide. I know it's not the best for flowering but it's what i got.
I have had the light on 12/12 for about 2 and a half months now. The female got pollenated and I thought she was budding at first but it turned out she was just growing her seed pods I guess. Now I have at least a hundred seed pods all over her and I have yet to see any bud. Is this normal for a preggo female to grow her seeds first then have the bud grow over it?

all her energy is going toward making seeds and not flowers, so ya thats expected. and by the looks of things you wont get any bud to smoke with out a lot of work to remove the seeds.

I just have one under the 400. I would like to use a hps too but lack of funds has me using the mh. I had 6 under it at about 2 feet tall last harvest but none got preggo so I have no experience with how pollenated females flower.

sometimes the root system can get cold at night if you dont have the pots off a cold floor and that can slow down the flowering process.

That's what each little calyx or fermale cannabis flower is there for; to attract and attract and catch male pollen. Looks like it has succeeded.
(Each pollinated calyx will develop a seed within, so mostly/completely pollinated means all seed as JoC pointed out)

Nullis, you are very, very right. I feel kind of dumb for posing the question in the first place. But here is another I hope isn't as bad. Since I doubt there will be more than a few grams of bud to come form her should I just revert her back to veg. and use her as my mother? I feel the month to 2 months of changing her back would be easier than starting over again from seeds and I would know that I have a female instead of guessing with bagseed. What do you guys think?

well im sure u have the basic concept of it and if u read on here u can find an answer to any questions, Just try agian as soon as possible and get a hps as soon as u can too. i also like the ballasts like the lumatek that u can switch to different watts.

i've never seen the seed pods just like that before on a plant, you can just pluck them right off and try again, really cool, its like the plant is telling you here you go, give it another shot lol.... i feel your pain though man, i've been let down too, enjoy what you have and take it as a learning experience, best of luck to you.

lol i know, i laughed to myself as i typed that, but im not laughing at him, of course with him, i never give males a chance... hell... i can always get seeds haha, just gotta pick em out of the buds i usually come across :-\

your better off taking clones from her and using them. seed plants tend to grow more height between nodes from what i have been told. all the guys i get my info and help from never flower a seed plant. they just grow them, sex them, clone from them. this is the way i will be doing it from the seeds im growing.

think you awnsered your own question,....when you bag a bag of bud,.....and break it down are the seeds in the bud,...or are the seeds all around the bud!!!
