I think my plant is a midget

This is my first grow. I was reading about topping and it got me wondering. It says to cut after the 3rd or 4th leaf set. My plant is like 3.5 weeks old and has nodes or leaf sets whatever its called, but it only like 4 inches tall. The picture they had where i was reading about topping is much taller than mine and has only 3. Should i be worried or what? Heres the page with the instructions on topping and the pic of the taller plant im talking about. Ill also post pics of my plant for comparison.

Don't compare your plant with others. You'll only end up with plant envy. It looks fine, but I would wait til it's got another node or three to top or FIM.

Here's a graphic of FIMing that's more helpful to me than just photos.

Great picture SeaMaiden! It is surprisingly hard to get clear info like that.

its between 6-7 inches today, how tall should i let it veg to try for an oz? I have 5-23w 2700 for flower and im gonna get another 4 or 5.
