i think i need a little bit of help...

i was jus wondering if someone could tell me y my bottom leaves r dying???
and also i am using a 50w halogen light and was wondering if that was an alright light to use for vegetative?
and i just topped my plant 2 days ago and was wondering about how long it will be until it starts to bush???
im a newbie so any info will help...

some bottom leaves often dry out or die. this means the plant is focusing it's energy to the top to grow and eventully grow buds. its not supriseing since you just topped it, so it wants to grow back and ignore the bottom leaves that are not neede as much. how many lumens does the light put out?

idk that one. all i kno is it is a 50w halogen light. i would really like to kno how far away to keep the light so i can keep my plant shorter.
 
how do i kno if its to hot??
will it start to burn on my hand???
i was also wondering wat signs to look for after topping a plant????
how long should it take to show signs??
 
if you can hold your hand there without it feeling like burning, its fine. in other words, if you instinctavly take your hand away, it is too hot. TOPPING A PLANT WILL STUNT ITS GROWTH TEMPORARILY. IT MAY TAKE A FEW DAYS OR A WEEK TO START GROWING AGAIN. SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS, MY CAPS LOCK IS JAMMED

i was wondering wat i should use for the lining in the inside?
like foil or white paper i heard u can use not to sure bout that but im jus wonderin???

tin foil is too reflective, and will create hot spots on the plants, which is fucking bad if you want them to live. You can either paint the inside with a flat white paint, or use mylar.
mylar is a reflective material that looks sort of like tin foil but has paper on one side.You don't have to get it, but it is helpful. the only easy source i know of is the shiny wrapping paper you would use for present.also, don't use mirrors as they eat the light and do not reflect it.paper you could use but it would probably just be easier to paint it than to cut out precise sheets.
 
u can line the inside of them boxes with white paper ,, like white printer paper ... use white scotch tape to tape them in there ,, also ,, halogen lights get very hott & are not really recommended for any type of growing .. u should go to wallmart or somthing & get cfl's ,, they are very cheap & work very well ,,, if u go this route ,, get the pack that says *daylight* they are a solid bright white color ,, ,, 6500K spectrum .....
 
thnx ... when i change the light should the light already be on or off???
i was using a 40w reg house light bulb for a lil bit cause my light blew...
im gonna get started on the paper...
how well should that work??
and also ive been growing this plant for about5 weeks and was wondering wen to switch to flowering?12/12 cycle???
