I think I have a cal/mag issue due to RO water

I was having problems with my well water
I bought an ro system.
I was told I didnt need cal mag if using advanced nutrients.
I slowly upped the ppm
I got a bunch of wilting that happened 3 days ago
I posted this thread https://www.rollitup.org/marijuana-plant-problems/402208-wilting-just-started-1-strain.html
I got some cal/mag today

How long should I wait, and what am I looking for to show me it is or isnt working?
How long should I wait to try somthing different and deem cal/mag deficiency not my issue?

i always use cal/mag.. the MJ plant seems to eat that shit up..first make sure your ph isnt out of wack

due to salt build up. it can cause a lock out,if it is flush with ph'ed water.then give her a normal

feeding (with ca/mag) and i spray them down with 1/2 dose cal/mag. if you really watch them you'll

know right away (few hours to a day) if there getting better. got any pics?

I am not familiar with your nutes, but it is generally accepted that one needs cal-mag in a RO hydro. Soil should have the micros missing in RO.

pics would help
and you sure the wilting isnt just over watering?

This is all explained in the link, It seems like overwatering but it happened at the same time in veg and flower, two plants in soil, two in DWC. If you want to see the set up the link to my journal is in my SIG.

Thanks for the reply's! Rep to you all! Check the wilting link and it explains all.

if you got HID's i whould raise them or turn them off for a bit but dont really have too, up to you. i spray the girls all the time with the lights on and never get burn..but i also have a fan hitting them 24 hours a day..if there flowering you never want to spray them before lights out (could get mold) they must be able to dry off.

I trimmed and folliar fed with ph'd RO and 1/4 strenth calmag and cut clones

After

Clones cut were

2x Pineapple Express
2x OG Kush
2x Grape god from veg
2x Grape god from flower (someone said it was different pheno type)

I also had 6 other good looking shoots I figured I could try to root and help out another legal patient or 2?

Ok so here I am many months later. Still a noob and still having cal mag issues. I think I have mag defs, but know for sure I have Iron and cal defs. I have tried many many different combos of cal mag and just dont know where to begin..

My nutes are
-Heisenbergs tea
-AN sensi A/B grow
-RO
With B52 foliar fed

I didnt add cal mag this time around what so ever. Just starting to get cal mag defs @ wk 6 in veg. Supper slow growth aswell. Might be due to root stress (my fault). But its the same every go around since my OP.

SOOO,

The most AN sensi cal I have added was 125ppms and I swear it seemed to get the deficiency sooner? But I didnt keep notes.... I ran a whole cycle at 100ppms and Got Calcium defs similar in veg but really bad in bloom.

I just dont know what to run it at. I dont know if I should run somthing like 200ppms (would be about 1/2 strength what bottle says) and possibly cause a lock out. Its weird because I am really staying on top of my ph now too.

I cant keep my ph from drifting from 5.6 to 5.9-6.0 in 24 hours though. I let it go one more day and it will be 6.2 and I reset.

Can anyone shed any light?

Ive got the same problem. Perfect PH, Res temp, and yet the what appears to be a cal/mag def wont f*ck off. I run Sensi Grow A/B and Cal-Mag and Ive always had the wilting leaves/yellow/brown spots. I cant shake it either. Im going to try a 2.5 ml / gallon cal mag to water for a foliar spray for when the HID is off.

BUMP! Same issues, DWC. Perfect temps all around and oh is good.

10 gallon tote
Pro Grow 180 (3w model, 156 actual draw: 79-blue, 77-red)
DynaGro
Bot. Cal/Mag
RO water (4-12ppm)

5 1/2 weeks old Tangerine Dream
-One Sativa Dominant (calcium spots)
-One Indica Dominant (magnesium chlorosis)

Originally ran:
-150ppm CalMag
-200ppm Gro

Then:
-180ppm
-100ppm

Now:
-100ppm
-150ppm

Im just looking to get an idea of how much Cal/mag others are using for their RO water to start a "basis" for their nutes.

I feel like when I tried 180 it was insane toxicity and mag lockout on the Indica exploded so now Im backing it off.

I know I am in the ballpark and that it is strain specific, but this is kicking my ass. Been on this for weeks and if this does not solve my issues my last explanation will be my light; do far I've loved it, but have red that too much far red (630-660nm) will stunt and show a magnesium def. look to it.
Thanks guys
I'll post pics when I get to my comp.

Look into this product www
hydroponic-research.com should help your deficiencies...get the R/O free sample got to me in 3 days. If it is cal/mag it'll fix it

The problem is your in DWC. Get out of the bubbling buckets switch to Ebb and Flood or rockwool. You either have slime in your buckets or the roots are submerged too deep into the water. The original pics look like overwatering or roots too deep in your buckets.

So where should I shoot on the roots/under the net pot?

I don't really have the headroom to run F&D :/ though it was considered in the earlier days.

My setup is in a 8.08'x4.75' room with two 33"x17" cabinets, RO, totes, wall mounted heater...basically its a tight fit.

But... I do have a 1200 sq. ft. cellar that only floods up to about 6"... only downfall is the loud ass metal door outside is the only way to get in. but o buddy....I wanna build a whole seperate room down there, or a 5x10 tent with 2 600's and LED...o fuck me. Already have the hoods, ballasts. Just sketchy as fuck and want to get my feet rooted first.

ANYWAYS,

Could it be a lack of oxygen? running two 2x2" stones right now,. directly under nets, but roots always float out towards edge of tote. I do have a SHIT TON of extra stones and a variety of pumps.

How can you tell? Would love to learn what you guys see

What are the signs that are specific to your diagnosis, would love an explanation from everybody's diagnosis so I can start collecting on-hand information like that!

Not really a hydro Guy....just had two hydro grows a few years back...my Ph would rise too...I just made it 5.5 so it would rise to 5.8 Ish in the next 24 hours..thosee ppms. Are really low...I had the ppms. Around 800 in vegn n built it up 1100 or so by bloom ...was around 1400 by end of. Bloom...strain dictates the amount it can handle.
