i think i have hervested to early. i bough a 30x magnifyer but found it wasnt enough to see the detail of the trichs so i havested when the hairs where about 50% red. they are airdrying at the mo but i quick dried a little to taste in the oven and it didnt smoke too good how much will the potency change during drying ?
 
well it has been shown that proper drying an curing will raise the thc potency smell an flavor....as for being early harvested i say yes if only 50%hairs were red...you should wait till 75-80%red hairs if you dont have a proper magi
 
A 30x scope is more than enough to see the THC glands. If you noticed any amberish color at all, then you'll be fine. As long as all of the glands were cloudy, you'll still get good smoke that's just not as couch-locked.

If anything else, and it turns out to not be so good, hash it.
