i have a sativa plant that has a mutated leaf here is a picture, i was wondering if i could isolate this mutation and start a new strand.. please reply.

Lol, it got confused.. You could try to clone that branch and see if the clones have that charistic, but I highly doubt it..

its not a branch, its a fan leaf that has this mutation on both sides, i haven't cheked the rest of the plant..so
