I need help,,my light went out i dont know what the problem is???

My light just went out,,im in the 1 week of flowering, and i have a 600 w hood with a digitel ballest. either its the ballets or the bulb, right? can it be the hood?i pulged the ballet right into a socket and nothing, i do have juice, if it was the bulb how can i tell..?will my plants die?i have to order a new WHAT tomarrow Ballest or Bulb??how long do the plants have to live???

Order of elimiation - first check your timer and make sure it works. Unplug the ballast and bulb and plug in a regular lamp - if it cuts on, timer's fine. Switch bulbs in the ballast, plug the ballast in - does it light up? You're set to go. If it doesn't - check your ballast wiring.
 
i did process of elimination,,,i still think its the ballest or bulb,,i have jucie the timer is working, checked the fuse breaker,,,bulb looks good, the ballest is only 1 to 1 1/2 years old should that go so fast???
 
Sounds like your in some shit man, if worse comes to worse just keep your plants in some sunlight around the house until you can get that lighting problem fixed.
 
it was the ballets,,thank god it was under warrenty, DH replaced it at no charge..no prob. with the plants for 4 days with some Alt. bullshit light setup...
