I think you have more problems than heat. How old are these plants? What medium are you using? How often are you watering them? and are you using nutes? There are several factors to impact your plants. This info will help us help you. I can deff see heat stress and it looks to be a little over fed.

i know with my 1000 watt hps it has to be like 2 and half feet away from the tips or they'll get burned...my ballast and bulb both came with a chart to show the distance the light should be from the plants to avoid light burn...but that might not be light burn...what kinda setup u got??

i dont think that its light burn either. I think its a high heat situation.

and like other guy said ph of that soil will make a huge difference

The soil is fox farm ocean forest, i started from seed they have been under the 400 watt hps for one week today . I have been watering just water no nutes and i have been doing 1/3 gallon per plant every 3-4 days. The heat was high 85 and low 69 i just put an exhaust fan in at the top today before i posted to bring down the temp. any other questions ui got just ask and thanks for the quick replys

i just checked em the temp is now stayin at a steady 76 degress and i misted them but its only two out of the six. Here are some pics of the ones that appear to be healthy. i dont have a PH kit i will get one tommorrow.thanks alot guys for all the help.

at least you have a routine. Thats how i got started.

The water schedule that you have now is good, but for a more mature plant that is in a larger pot. More area to hold moisture. In a smaller pot there are more factors at work against you. Less area to hold moisture and fast to dry/use. So you need to watch your plants and soil rather than just go by a set routine. They will tell you what they need, and today it looks to be a drink. If the pots are light they need water, or if you stick you finger in the dirt and dry to the first knuckle , water......

dont get ahead of your self, use that in a transplant but dilute the mix with proper PH water

honestly i watered the normal 1/3 galllon of just water about 20 hours before i took the pics. so thanks for the help i will keep u posted.
