i need help choosing good lights

i wanna use a 400 hps for flower and have small veg room just so got a cycle what kinda light could use for the veg room so i got maxium yeild or whatever should i just go will 400 watt mh for veg and 400 hps for flower i could use some input plz not very big space

If possibly I like to use both HPS and MH to cover the spectrum and insure that the plants get what they need. If you can only run one light at a time, run the MH during veg and the HPS during Flowering. If you can only afford to get one or the other, get the HPS to use for both veg and flower, and if you can at least supplement the HPS with some 6500k CFL's.

i think you should get both.


that way youre covering the whole light sprectrum.

I would buy a mh ballast and light for vegging.You can then buy a convertion bulb that will work in your mh ballast and have hps for budding.It will save you the cost of another ballast.OPH
