i no this is the rite place for questions, because i made its this far.
Rite about now my plants are ready to go.

Will the taste and the smell get stronger as i dry them?

will the weed taste any different if it is not fully dry?

What about flushing, will it give it a good taste?

to make a long story short, my plants look and smell like its good to be some of the best shit i might ever smoke. but my little brother took some buds off my shit and smoked it without drying it or before i even started flushing and he said they tasted like wood. he said it got him high without any headace. will my weed taste like wood even after i dry and flush.. :(

no, flushing removes the chemicals (open to debate) and the drying and curing causes the blahhh to lose a carbon atom making it a lot more potent. During the drying process, you also lose the chlorophyll which is what wil make it smell like hay to start with.

how he could smoke it without drying it is beyond me, i normally have to nuke mine in the oven for half an hour before it'll burn properly

Improperly flushed, dried and cured bud will taste like new mown hay. In other words it will taste like shit, not burn right and will be very harsh.
These 3 things are critical:
FLUSH - Flushing removes all the built up chemicals such as the nitrates that will give your weed a chemical taste. Flush time varies depending on how you are growing. For Hydro 7-10 days is good and dirt needs to be longer.
Dry - Your newly cut buds need to be dried properly. Techniques vary but you need to hang them in a cool dark dry place with some light air flow for about 5-7 days.
Cure - Once the buds are dry you pack them semi-tight into airtight mason jars. For the first few days you need to pop the caps and let them breath for a few minutes several time a day. This helps the moisture balance. Once the buds have reached the proper balance (personal choice) then you can just keep them stored in the jars. Some folks like their cured bud to be a little on the moist side, others dry. Keep in mind, good bud is like good wine. It gets better with age so be patient and let those nugs cure.
