I need advice with auto watering

I have a grow tent that is a bitch to get to the back of. I plan on adding an automatic watering system with either a timer or maybe moisture sensors or something. I am looking for advice on what will work best for my situation

I grow in air pots. The plastic ones with the holes everywhere. The biggest ones are about 16” and hold around 10 gallons of soil and the other size I use for flowering is 12” and holds around 3gallons of soil.

also I was wondering if these systems are only good for plain watering or if they can handle nutrients. Using nectar of the gods right now and I imagine it could clog stuff

right now I use happy frog soil but plan on messing around with coco eventually in my little experiment chamber

nutrients will be all mega crop or maybe use my biobizz Nutes up

also what coco should I try in the air pots and should I mix anything in there? I understand how to charge the coco and all of that

Never used them Nizza but I have seen lots of people using floraflex stuff in coco, wouldn't be any different in any dtw medium.
I guess with smartpots you would want multiple small waterings so your not chucking in loads of nutrients and losing lots out the sides.
Maybe look at @gr865 grows, not sure on the floraflex stuff but he's got some sweet automated watering set up. He's a very helpful guy and knows his stuff.

Save your money and buy a fish/pond pump for moving water, some 4-6mm spaghetti tubing and some 19 mm poly pipe or hose with a few fittings and make your own self watering system for less than $50. Put this on a timer and you got yourself a budget watering system :)

i do drain to waste coco using floraflex caps on my 2gal pots, the feed line from the resevoir runs into a 4 way splitter that then splits each line into 2 for better coverage with the floraflex cap. my feed pump is a 350gph and i only have to run it for 1min exactly to get 15-20% runoff. runoff is collected in a catch bucket with a float valve activated pump to expel the water outside.20191028_214500.jpg
Resevoir station, chiller is used to keep water temp between 66-7020200103_092750.jpg
