So here s the thing how do u guys think i should take action. If i have like 25 l of dirt where i will plant my regular seeds. When should i start to plant them in the dirt to wait for them to mature ebough to see the sex of the plant and of course if it s a male basically i will rip of the plant till i get a female one. Or should i use more dirt and dig two or more holes to plant more plants and grow them till i know the sex of that plant

Not entirely sure I understand your question, are you say you have a 25 liter pot filled with dirt and are trying to decide whether to plant one in it, or two? If you can I'd start in much smaller containers, one seed per container, and move them up to larger containers as they need the space/once they're sexed. Especially as a new grower it's tricky maintaining the right level of soil moisture in an overly large pot.

You may also want to start a thread in the Newbie section where you're more likely to get regular responses... this section is mostly reviews of different seed companies.

Oh yeah sure wrong thread. What i was saying is that i tought u can determine the sex of the plant in one month or based on how big is it right? U look if it has balls or calyxes after one month or so? The thing is if i get mostly males till the end of the growing season it means that even if i have a female at least it will be pretty short because all of them popped males till this one. Actually in a less complicated way of saying "How long in veg till i found out the sex of the plant

For photoperiods you typically wouldn't start seeing preflowers until 7 or 8 weeks of veg. The height thing isn't surefire, yes males are often taller with less sidebranching, but it doesn't always hold true, sometimes the lanky ones with little sidebranching turn out to be female, sometimes shorter plants turn out to be male. If you had sizeable plants earlier in veg you could always do a little light deprivation on one lower branch by covering it with a bag and limiting it to 12 hours of light, thus forcing flower on that branch, or light dep the whole plant and figure you'll switch back to vegging hours for awhile to get it into re-veg, but I wouldn't say that's stress-free from the plant's perspective. If taking and rooting clones is a possibility you could go that route and force flower in either the cut or the mother, but tbh by that point you might be getting close to the 8 week mark where you'd expect to start seeing some preflowers. They do offer DNA testing (for $) now, but dunno whether that's widely available or limited by country (depends on legality I'm sure).

I usually just use a yogurt container or a 2L ice cream container. But ya my understanding is the stress is what causes them to show preflowers, but there probably people here who know more about the science behind it than I do. I’m not sure which section to search but I’d be willing to bet there’s some good info around.
