Dextromethorphan.
It's a cough suppressant that in high doses acts as a dissociative anesthetic (similar but very different from ketamine). Most people (myself included) find that it's a very uncomfortable and often dark, evil and scary experience, which is probably why he said sorry if you don't like it (because most people don't like it).
Be careful if you are dumb enough to want to go out and try it now because most cough syrups contain other compounds like guaifenesin which will make you throw up long before you've consumed the required dose of DXM or antihistimines that will knock you out or can just straight up kill you if you take too many (eg. triple c's).
He may enjoy it but trust me, imo it's one dissociative your better off just avoiding. Try ketamine or methoxetamine if you want a dissociative experience.

Yeah nah sculling down an entire bottle of cough syrup doesn't seem very intuitive =) I'll stick with mushies =)
