I Just Ordered A Mushroom Kit

Its half portobello and half button mushrooms (the type you get at the grocery store). Can't wait to get it. I'm going to make mushroom stamps of both types once they are grown, that way I will always be able to grow more mushrooms once I find a local place to buy mushroom compost.
Does anyone else out here grow mushrooms to eat?

Just wanted to post a couple of pics of the mushroom kit...

This is the box that the kit comes in. You actually grow right in this box


This is a shot of the mulch inside. The white stuff that you see is the mushroom fungus.



Its going to be about a week until I can start the process of growing them. That white stuff has to completely cover the mulch and then I have to put a layer of peat moss over the top. Right now I have to keep it at around 70 degrees.

I'll post pics when I set it up and as they grow.

my friend used to have a shrooom kit
we had soil and he would drop his mixture all over it and this system would spray wter on it regularly and then every day he had a new batch of shrooms
