So I read this here somewhere but wasnt sure what the purpose of feeding your plant mollasses actually does? Anyone who has experience with this can you give some insight on the purpose of this and how to do it? thanks bro'sbongsmilie

i use blackstrap molasses its for carbs but also has calcium iron and magnesium its sweet and smells good too.it lowers your water ph so check it..1 tbs per gallon.

molasses can be used as a carb supplement to feed the beneficial microorganisms in your soil. A lot of people claim that it makes your bud stickier, sweeter smelling, and more tastey. To be honest with you, the only difference i ever noticed other than it attracting insects like crazy was a little added sweetness in the taste. For reference, I have tried unsulphered blackstrap molasses, botanicare sweet, advanced nutrients bud candy, and none of the above.

Cool, I have to look into that man, would you know what specifically the carbs do for the plants? Have you noticed it affect the taste of the smoke in a good or bad way? If its sweet Id assume it make the smoke sweeter, which is always godd lol. Anyway thanks for the info budday!

Hmm, thats good to know. Definetely want to do some research I guess as I def dont want insects. I guess I just have to go by trial and error if I decide to try it lol. thx man

I've used it on indoor and outdoor plants.I've aslo NOT used it.I really can't tell the difference.I will say that it is good for the microbes in the soil.Having said this,I've quit using it...it attracts ants.GL

i have not had any insects but i really don't know if its doing anything i use it and bud candy, but never tried without it to see the difference.

when growing in soil, it adds sugars to the plant.. this results in buds on average of 30% give or take more weight.. it must be unsulfurated. DO NOT USE IF YOU GROW HYDRO.. IT WILL F*** YOUR STUFF BIG TIME!!

Ok, I am doing soil indoors, so I am going to try this method out I think and see if I experience the insects with using mollases. I also live in apartment with balcony so it might not be as bad for me with bugz :joint:.
