1000 watts will very efficiantly do a room 5'x5' (25 sq.ft.) if you keep the light 3' away from top growth. if you do a plant every sq.ft. that would be 25 plants. scale down a few plants from that so you have rooom to tend to the plants and rotate a couple times a week. id say 15-20 would be a good #. i recomend laying out 2 gall planters in the area you decide to use. do this so you can see visually how many you can fit while giving your self comfortable room to work
as far as harvest time, that will be determined on what stran and how good you will grow. in general though from seed to harvest, it takes roughly 15 weeks give or take a couple weeks
