trouble sleeping welcome to my world i do not think i have hit REM sleep in several months now
and DB cooper is simple answer
military man .....odds special forces with his understanding of jumping out of a plane ( he had them lower attitude and drop the speed to under 300 mph........if he had not done this 1 he would of died from lack of oxygen (it is why planes dive to 10k 8k feet when there is leak in the plane ) and 2 his body would of been ripped apart by the wind-sheer /unable to use arms to pull cord)
next came the planning and the request for money ........the planning and execution of it was military time allowing no time for anyone to board the plane via a wheel well hatch ....land release some hostage get fuel release more get money keep enough so blowing the plane out of the air would be a public death of who ever in charge including the prez at the time
he was smart enough to sneak in a parachute with no one noticing so they though they would set something up when the plan landed in what ever area they asked to go......but instead of landing he does a bail out
honestly that was the only variable in the whole plan........he picked a heavily wooded area very far from regular roads or ppl (my guess he was aiming for a logging road to get picked up .....logging roads are not listed on maps well not back then at least since was a temp road only used for the period of the job ) ....but jumping in a pine forest with no clear landing area is nearly always a death trap ......get hung up in the branches rope can hang u or the fall to the get to the ground can do enough damage to slowly kill u (what i think happen he had to cut away and was about 30/40 feet when landed it broke a leg a arm and for sure ribs ) .....and he never made it to the pick up point (partner was never able to find him )
several years later..... late 80s early 90s a son and father in northwest woods were fly fishing and they came across a bundle of old cash (alot of it had rotted away but there was enough to look at the serial numbers on the bills and they matched the ones from the DB cooper case)....they tried back tracing up the river but with storm run off they were never able to find any more money/body/anything DB cooper
just so u know money rots it is more made of linen type material then actually paper .......it makes it last longer then actual paper would

DB cooper is dead ....died on landing or from injury or from wild animal ......the amount of time and weather the only thing left to find is some bones that will be scattered across several miles thanks to animals
and this is before DNA collection for id dental records would be only way to confirm ..........side note u know DNA is collected from every baby born now plus anyone that has a felony record since 2002 and military .....plus all those ppl that run dna23 and me things ......if they linked all the databases together it would be super easy to do alot of neat things including finishing the human genome project and completely map all dna (u only need a small amount of your DNA to make u the rest is not fully understood ....personally i think it is genetic memory)
u did hear about the astronaut experiment they did on the space station ....1 year of in space twins (extact dna at birth ) did not match anymore 7% genetic different was measured
