I have a volcano, wanted to buy glass, but found an iolite for cheap. What to do?

Alright so here's the deal:

The only glass I have right now is a chillum. Other than that I have a volcano.

I had a few bongs before, gave one to a friend, another friend broke the other one and didn't pay me back. My first pipe was also broken by a friend (paid back).

So ill be coming into some extra money in the next few weeks. I wanted to buy a nice chunky percolated bong, or save up for a hurricane. Either way id be spending at least $150.

Then I see a friend is selling an iolite for like $120. Apparently used less than 7 times.

So what do you think I should do? I love loading up a bowl in a bong and going to outerspace immediately. However, the ability to vaporize almost anywhere is pretty appealing too.

What do you guys think? My boy back home says he has a iolite and loves it, but he's never tried the volcano.

Ps: I will not be lending out any pieces anymore lol

Edit: portable vaporizer is an iolite. I got mixed up.
 
dude the vapir sucks ass bro . . . . take it from me . . . if you want a mobile vape . . . . get the iolite.

I mean a vapir may seem portable . . . but it has absolutely nothing on a butane fueled vaporizer . . . .take a can of butane + that vaporizer and you can vape for 2+ weeks in the wilderness with nothing but that vape . . .

CORRECTION: it is in fact an iolite.
 
I would go with glass man, you already have the best vaporizer on the market, any other one doesn't even compare to the volcano, and I personally like smoking from a bong every once in awhile
 
er, he has a vaporizer that sits on his desk all day . . .

if he wants to go on a hike, or camp, and still vape . . . . he seriously needs to get an iolite. . .

and just to let you know . . . the volcano certainly isn't the best vaporizer in the market if you compare it side by side with the herbalaire . . . they're equal, if not the herbalaire is better.

So you do think having a portable vaporizer beats having a bong?

I do see the advantages though. I originally bought the chillum to take on the ski lifts, but I never used it on the lift cause there were mad people. A vaporizer could be used though because the smell is nominal.
 
bro I don't even smoke anymore, so that's an obvious YES from me.

and even if I did, I still think having a portable vaporizer that will last forever and never break is 10x better than a bong that you can barely take anywhere and one drop off the table and it's done forever.

How does the iolite compare to the volcano, as far as getting high?

And I don't wanna get into the volcano vs. Herbailaiire but I still love my volcano. Sure its expensive, but I haven't had any trouble with it in close to a year of daily use. I couldn't afford a ferrari, but I could afford the ferrari of vaporizers. And I like that
 
well, I assume the iolite is essentially like using a whip vape . . . . you'll still get high, but you're not gonna use it over your volcano if you have the opportunity . . .


for people like me who only vape . . . the iolite is a must for me as I can't bring my herbalaire into the wild and use it . . .

I'm sure it'll get you just as high as your volcano . . . it just wont be the like puffing on a huge bag of vapor . . . it'll be like a whip vape, but different. absolutely no reason why it wouldn't get you just as high.
 
@ poplars yeah I feel that, I don't go out and get baked a lot, but I definately might start with an iolite. Where I live right now its wayyy to hot to be able to go out and hike safely. Do you use your iolite in any other situations?

@ fdd, you say you have pretty much every device... do you have/use an iolite, if you do what do you think?

Also @ fdd or anyone: ill go out on a limb and ask if you've ever used a hurricane? I really love the design, I mean it seems way easier to clean than a percolated tube bong. I also love the gold fuming and arabian/middle east look to it. Supposedly its insanely hard to break, which is also appealing. What do you think of that piece?
 
I'd go with the portable vape. Its harder to break, and more useful than a glass bong. You can always just get a cheap 30 dollar glass bong with nothing fancy. Thats what i do, because they usually break somehow within a year. My vape is 3 years and counting.
 
I don't have the iolite yet, but I'm going to buy it for hiking and camping. I've heard plenty of good stuff about it, I don't expect it to be better than the herbalaire or volcano . . . but I do expect it to get me nice and high in the wilderness without smoke :D

What do you think about the I-Inhale? I just read hobbes is getting one, and hobbes is a pretty smart dude
 
er, upon googling I've only found results for the iolite when looking for the i-inhale . . . . . got a link?


I've looked at all other mobile vapes on the market and so far the iolite is the most plausible for me to actually use.
 
In my books, sometimes it's best not to re-invent the wheel.
I get the most joy when I get to roll up a fatty, kick back and enjoy my marijuana cigarette to some chill tunes...
Never the less. I would get a bong! You already have an awesome vape, no need for another!
Also glass is totally beautiful! A showpiece you can smoke out of. Then theres that rumble of the bubbles passing through the piece. It's got a character!
