You didn't really state any specifics like temp/humidity/ph/ppm which can be really helpful to people when trying to assist you with diagnosing a problem.
From the look of it I'd have to concur with patjack though, make something to cover the tops of the pots and/or at least makes sure that the net pots are completely filled with grow rocks. It looks like you have the bigger sized ones so it's almost inescapable that somehow light is going to find it's way through. What I used to do was use those plastic disposable plates, cut a u shaped notch in them to fit around the plant(s) and paint/tape them up so light can't penetrate. Something I should also mention, with DWC not only should you worry about light penetrating the reservoir, but always have a good idea of what your res/nutrient temperature as higher temps can also help to harbor those unwanted pathogens like pythium. I always had problems as it relates to reservoir temp with multiple plant tubs, I guess because of the higher volumes of nutrient solution.
