Okay so here goes, my B-friend has a cousin that he is VERY close with well he has renal disease he does dialysis 3 times a week, at the young age of 5 or six he got really sick kidneys shut down & his Mom gave him one of her kidneys, well that got him threw until now, the dialysis is just a little band-aid & is only buying him a few months until they find another donar well they want my boyfriend to be tested to see if he is a match. Well this means that he can't blaze for a month. He will not chance failing the test by using any products like those flush drinks & crap, because if he failed he could never live with himself.

SO........I am gonna pole this one,.....here is what I would like from everyone who replies. give me your answer and your sex e.g. (FEMALE or MALE)

Here it is.......Should I stop blazing with him?????

Damn thats a tough question... Personaly if it was my wife's family I would quit blazin for a month to help... That is if it was me that was going to be the donor. If I was in your situation I couldn't say that I would quit all together, but I defently wouldn't smoke around or be around her stoned... I know how hard it is to quit smoking when someone is getting stoned around you! So I guess what im saying is it depends on you... Its not a easy decision to make! Wish you all the best of luck! Peace

it is hard to find matches. close family members have the best chance for a match. i am trying to get a new kidney myself. dailysis sucks. thefood you can & can't eat is the hardest for some to keep under control. no cholate. is the hardest for me. if it would help him to stop smoking for that month i would say yes.go to your local dailyisis ward talk to the nursesask questions like what is the life expecticy of a person on dailysis. if i rember right its half compaired to some one not on dailysis. dailysis is very hard on the body. male. a ne kidney would mean no more renagel pils for him at evey meal. those are horse pills. ihave to go today for my treatment. i go 3 times a week for 3.5 hours a treatment. the bad part for me is my mom has bad kidneys too. no livng siblins. on the brite side i don't have to get up in the midle of the night to go to the bathroom. the worst thing about dailysis is cramping. that is when they take off too much lquid.

lets see on one hand we have: get high

on the other we have: human life

what's the question?

i'd quit all together just to support him. good man. to give up a part of yourself for another to live.

yeah I mean I'd be down to quit but I'd probably slip up a few times. the point is you should definitely try JUST to show your support for him and his cousin.

Well his cousin is 28 yrs old and does dialysis 3 times a week. Robert is his name....Rob is slightly slow he was able to get a college degree, but is unable to work b/c of the renal failure.... So he lives with his Mom & his father was not a match. Rob's sister & brother were not a match.... So my B-Friend is going to be tested to see if her is a match now he has to quit for a month which he says no big deal I'll do it for Robert....so my heart is with him he smokes for pleasure.....I smoke so I have an appatite (sp; sorry), & to help with my arthritis I am 31 yrs old & my joints feel like I am 90. So I had planned on not smoking around him, go outside if I have to so I don't smell like it so bad........SO fellow stoners do I stop or do I keep going in moderation, & not smoke around him, Well if it was me being tested to be a match HELL ya I could quit I would have to go back to pain killers, but I would for a month.....I would quit if they asked me to be tested.....I offered they said as a last resort...so I said just let me know......so now that you have the whole story has any opinions changed???
DEW I really feel for you, I sure hope you have luck in finding a kidney.....I wish I could help in some way.... Take care Dew if you need anything just email me or PM me....K?

That is what he said, he said that I didn't have to quit just be away from him when I blaze. Something just tells me that is wrong....he got news this afternoon that it will be another month or two......what are we gonna do if he is a match, he will not be able to work for 8 weeks...do they (unemployment & disabilitySSI)work would that be considered a short term disability?? How would he support himself.???? Does anyone know anything about this kinda thing????

blaz may you not jones. hope he is a good match it will lift his cousin's moral if he is. after he gets tested roll him a big fat cheech & chong joint . just for making it through the month. i have only 1 l0ose relitive that might some day beable to give me a kidney. the onlyproblem now is he is only 17 that is my son. we are real close i am closer to him then his mom and he lives with her.the poor kid olooks like me. just having support in this mater makes things better. iknow how you feel with that joint pain. i have had acl reconstruction on my knee some times the screws make my leg hurt mostly in the winter. if things get too bad just smoke when he isnot around then use alot of perfume to coverup the smell on you.

Has he asked you to quit?? That is one thing my wife has never done. There is a difference here, my wife doesn't smoke very often, like maybe 3x in the 12 years I've known her.
I guess you could do this noble thing to show support. If it means you have to use chemicals to stay pain free would he want you to?
My wifes Granny was on dialysis for all the last years of her life, and my wife used to take her for her treatments three times a week. Kidney matches are few and far between. Your boy friend is doing the right thing and so are you by staying off the chemicals. Why change? VV male

Thank you for all of your support, and no he said I didn't have to quit he knows it keeps me from throwing up, I also have ACL & PCL damage to the right knee I was in a head on ambulance accident in 2001, I hit the windshield at about 70 miles an hour dead stop how I didn't die I will never know....I was not driving my MALE partner was... we were jamming to Kryptonite, going to what we thought was a major collision between 2 other vehicles turns out to be a false call in the end....I jumped out and began immediatly helping the sherriff's deputy that we hit head on...hahahaha sweet justice huh...cause he was not hurt only bruises, I was outta work for9 months with physical therepy, which didn't help.Well you guys have been alotta help, he found out yesterday that he has about a month before they will even call to make an appointment....for him....nothing like rushing because someone is suffering.....UGH! ( and by that I meant HIS cousin)

i'm pretty sure having a body part removed falls under the category of disabled. you will have no problem recieving money as long as he has been paying his taxes thru employment.

don't ambulance people wear seat belts? just wondering.
