Hi! My name is Tony and I'm a stoner.
I have a crock pot and I am mentaly challenged. I tried to make cannabis butter and failed. THREE TIMES! I ruined my third 8th (of bud) this week!
Here is what I did:
1/8th of fine dround bud
8oz unsalted AA butter
8oz water
Threw it all in a crock pot and let it sit on low for 8 hours. Then poured it into a tall glass, let it settle up in the freezer and scraped the butter off of the frozen water (some plant material was stuck to the bottom, didn't pay any attention to it). I scraped some of the dark green butter onto my toast and nothing happened (two hours later) then I did it again and again. Nothing.
What did I do wrong? Do I HAVE to cook with the butter then eat it, or can I just put it on bread or in a capsule or lick it like ice cream.
Also, can anyone explain (in detail) how to make butter or olive oil? I want the simplest and most straight forward recipe with an 8th of oz of bud and a crock pot. I don't care if plant matter is in the final product, so straining and cleaning are not necessary. Any help is appreciated.
