i got some sort of mould i think

can any one help me im growing in coco for the first time and on the top of the coco there seems to be some mould of some sort its green and white i dont seem to be affecting the plants at the min but just want to make sure its nuffin to bad. i was overfeedin to start with so might it be a bit of chemical or something:confused::confused::confused::confused:

it sound like root/stem rot.
when watering water around the outsides of the pot working inwards and dont water within 10-15mm of the plants stem this way the roots will stretch out in the soil looking for water and the water wont run down the stem causing rot.

thanks mate but is there any thing i can do to get rid of it or should i start again

how long have you been at it??????.
i got some cuttings once and they were in coco and they developed rootrot soil is a far better option.
i will have a look in my archives for advice for you.
;-)
 
cheers mate they been in 2-3 weeks if u could find out mate that would be great dont really want to go get more cuttings and start again cuz it will be another two weeks till i can get new cuts:sad:

always start from seeds mate as it may not be your fault that the cuttings have gone pete tong. its usually the person making the cutting that fucks things up by not being sterile or using cloning gel or just simply cutting them wrongly.
and use soil that coco shit sucks.

Cover the top of the tub or what ever the plant is growing out of with tin foil,This will let light bounce back up the plant and stop the mould getting any worse.Nothing too worry about it happens alot in the nft grows when light and heat hit the top of the cubes it causes a green mould.Just stop light from hitting the top of the grow medium and it will stop it getting any worse.tyke
