I'm not tripping at the moment but everytime I do I get the feeling my dog knows. It might just be me thinkin he acts differently but I could swear he knows i'm on another level. Anyone else think this with their pets?
I feel like my dog knows i'm tripping.

Nah... dog's are pretty simple creatures. Feed me... show me affection... my guess is it's just your perception. Sorta like when you look at a coworker and think "damn she's getting fat!".... then you start thinking "oh damn... she knows I was thinking that... she's prolly pissed at me now." I hope this helps.
Now, if when you're "tripping" you are acting uncharacteristic of what the dog is accustomed to seeing you act. (For example, you normally sit on your couch and calmly watch reruns of "The Golden Girls" but when you're trippin' you tend to put on an evening gown and dance around like a robot in your living room... then yeah, your dog will notice.

Normally when i'm tripping I dress up as blair from the golden girls and watch repeat upon repeat, but that's not out of the ordinary for me at all. Would our K9 friends trip if they ate a shroom or two?

Dogs can smell fear. They can sense when their owner is distressed. I don't think they are sitting there thinking "CrownMeKing is trippin balls again... dude is a shroom head."
As mystical and awesome as dogs can seem to be at times... let's not forget that they actually chow down on their own shit every now and again. Not exactly brilliant.

Lol... how is it mystical? I mean if you see an animal acting different than the norm, you recognize it.... so why can't other animals do the same? Oh that right.... they're fucking dumb.... we're the only animals that know anything.....
If you are pissed... your pet knows... it is scared... if you are happy... you pet knows.... You are putting off "vibes" at all times. Why would your pet dog not know?

Uhhhmmm I don't disagree with any of that.
Is this supposed to be an argument? My point was that some of the 'thoughts' that the tripper is attributing to his pet are actually his own. Yes, the pet will surely notice a difference in behavior... but my cats tend to accept that petting as much as they can get whether i am stoned or not. Perhaps they know I am stoned or not stoned... but I don't think they really give a fuck.

so with that being known, a dog/cat will "know when you are tripping," based on the extremes of emotions expressed while doing so.
they may not know the reason as to why, but they just know you are VERY happy(or frightened), and want to come say hi.
