My plant is one month old from seed and is starting to flower (did 12/12 cfl lights from seed) but there are no white hairs on the leaves like i see in all the pics of flowering plants :/

any input is appreciated

Sometimes it takes a week or so before hairs start forming. How do you know it's starting to flower with no white hairs visible? Are you sure it's even female?

Don't worry, I think I made the same post on my first grow. It's probably not an ideal environment which is why they won't have shown at the 3 week mark people talking about in 12/12 from seed.

My advice would be to stop looking for a week or two. You'll know about it once it starts properly just a game of patience.

How big are they? If they're small too then it's a sign something isn't right.

Ok I see, it's a good size but there doesn't seem to be enough light down at the bottom there. or is that just the camera.

Yyou need to get CFL's close within 3 inches of all the plant not just the top of it.

you need to take a close up of the top that is not blurry. i think what you may have is a male plant and mistaking the pollen sac clusters as buds. I made the same mistake on my first grow and then all the sacs started opeining up into little flowers and i said "Doh!!"

anyways not trying to say it is for a fact a male but some clearer up close pics of the "buds" would help determine if it was a male or not. if you say there is buds and no white hairs im almost 99% sure its a male anyways as a female plant will not form any buds without a white hair coming out.

oh and if you only have room for one plant at a time it might be in your best intrest to head over to a trusted seedbank site and pick up a pack of feminized seeds so you dont run into this issue again .

Zooming in, while unclear, it does indeed look more male than female i have to say, which would kinda ring true with the "buds" but no pistils.

Get a better pic, bro. I cant see a thing in focus. Neither can anyone else. I tend to agree with the post above mine, through the blur it appears to be tiny clusters of balls. Google male plants and compare.

Edit, we posted at the same time.. You have a male bro.

It does look male, you can see clusters starting to form. One small hair is the first thing you'll see, usually about the 6th or 7th node if it's female. That plant been telling you male for about a week or so. Good size for a month old though. :peace:

shut off that CFL and get as close to the top of thet plant as you can and take a pic its still really hard to tell 100% but im at 90% sure its a male man sorry for your wasted efforts. can still make some ice water hash!!
