i think natural disasters and high death tolls just scare people into thinking it could happen to the .. so people all of a sudden care for a bit ... than everyone forgets cause everyone is too into themselves

I certainly agree to an extent, i mean how many countries (uk for one!) are currently paying tens and hundreds of millions in foreign aid, desite the fact that the economy and country is going to utter shit. The Uk is currently making changes to pretty much try and fuck up anyone wihtout a good backgrounds chance of university, yet they have money enough to be giving £50 million out in aid and almost that again every single day just to be part of the EU. Stop thinking about everyone and takee care of the people right in front of them.

the way I see it is this, if everyone cares for 50 people, the whole world is accounted for, the end.

edit: hell, if even 60% cared thats still everyone all accounted for, hah.

no that means you'll go out and help them. as if they were your 'tribe'

a lot different than just caring. maybe 30 people is more reasonable than 50... dunno what the optimum number would be, that would be entirely based on your own capabilities.

but if its a natural disaster than what are you supposed to do? if someone dies they die

the normal natural thing to do if you survive is find other survivors no matter who was part of your 'tribe'.

i can see if someone you care about gets sick you should help them but people don't help out random people with cancer or ms as it is.. they give to charities

so really we already are only caring only for our tribes... aka our family and friends.. you know? careing for dead people on the other side of the world is totally up to the individual, either way it doesnt change anything
