I can't grow!

Hi everyone,

A couple weeks ago I thought I would start trying to grow my own, just a few plants. I got 5 Big Bang seeds, read up as much information as I could, and off I went.

Seed 1 was germinated, grew out of the soil and the seed dropped off, leaving me with just a long root.
Seed 2 and 3 were germinated, planted; 2 went smooshy and 3's rootap went back inside the shell never to be seen again.

It's been a week since I planted 4 and 5, after germinating them. Everything went well, they slowly started to look like they were rising above the soil, until they essentially came up out of the soil (jiffy/peat things that expand) with slightly longer rootaps but no progress. I moved them to compost in the vain hope they would grow. Once again they slowly rose out of the soil to show them looking pretty similar. I used tweazers to plant them slightly deeprer, over the course of today number 4 has started moving up again with no new root growth.

Are my seeds dead? The root is still there on both seeds however it's been a week, surely they must have used up all their stored nutrients. Nothing at all seems to be happening, and I can't seem to get my process right, or get past this stage, it's incredibly frustrating. Everyone has a different method of doing everything, but they don't seem to be working for me. Sorry for the really long message, any help/advice would be greatly appreciated, thanks :)

Not to sound funny or anything but the biggest problem your seeds have is you. If you think about it in nature they drop off the plant fall to the ground and hopefully produce another plant in its place next year. For centuries cannabis sativa and indica have managed to reproduce and grow without any human help. germinate the seeds let the taproot come out, plant it good soil with good drainage and then let it grow under light, you've done the initial bit. Then just keep the pot moist.

Let us know how you get on and we'll be sure to help you, but you gotta learn to stop playing with them.:peace:

I am new to this whoel growing thing and just like everyone else said, just let it do its own thing man. I tried fucking around with them and it ruins it, I don't even germinate, I have had much more success just putting the seed right into soil, it takes a day or two longer to poke through but I have two sprouts and it kills me not to touch them. I want to water them but I know I shouldn't. It's tough but just let them be, they will be ok.
