I do have some fungus gnats, getting some nematode in a few days

I noticed this morning on my bottom leaves (the first two sets) a discoloration between the veins. I looked all through the deficiency lists and I don't think it's any of those.2018-12-07 16.15.46.jpg 2018-12-07 16.16.48.jpg

That is magesium deficiency. I would supplement some epsom salts.

Thanks everyone.
Just added some Epsom salt to the earth box res. I used 2 tbsp per liter of water and top watered a little as well.
Going to foliar spray tomorrow.
Could this be from too much dolomite lime?

I actually added 2 teaspoons, not tablespoons, to about a one and a half liters of water. I about 3/4 of it as a soil drench and poured about 1/4 of it into the earthbox res. I got that from one of the other threads. Was it too strong? I tried to do the math from a gallon. Converting back and forth is such a pain

Update after 12 hours. Leaves look worse.
I may have added too much Epsom salt. I will continue to update regularly till its better or dead.
I dont know how much weight is in two teaspoons of epsom salts. Try half a gram of epsom salts to a gallon. It usually gets worse until it gets better. Or if you want you can foliar spray epsom salts for instant effect until your plant starts uptaking the mg from the epsom salts you mix into the feed.

Will do the foliar spray when I get home tonight. Now just for the record. A gallon is 3.78 liters. So if I round that up to say 4 liters and use half a gram, that would be approx 1/8 of a gram of Epsom salt per liter. Because my spray bottle is one liter. Now I currently have my lights on 24hrs. But willing to go to 18/6. Should I spray before the light go out. Or as they come on. Doesn't the stigmata open when the light come on and the plant will suck it in through the leaves better that way.

Does anyone grow in a home made S.I.P.s
Bed?
I saw some on YouTube. I want to hear about someone using one in a tent. The ones I saw were outdoors.
In the future I want to build a 4x4 one in my 4x4 tent. That would give me the max amount of space for root development.
Any thoughts?

Any Canadians know of biological available here in Canada. Em1 won't ship here. Grow Kashi gets held in customs. I know from experience. Any Canadian brands.
And I have tried Amazon.ca the order goes through and then gets cancelled or held at customs

No. It would always be half a gram of epsom salt even per liter. You add half a gram epsom salts to 4 liters (a gallon). You pour some in your one liter of spray bottle and there would still be half a gram of epsom salts in that bottle. You kind of confused me for a bit there. Spray after lights off or about 15-30 minutes before lights come on. You can raise your light super high (highest it can go) and spray them. When the leaves have sucked up or are dry then lower your light back down again.

OK I got ya. I'll mix up a gallon and I can keep it around. I'm going to raise my light up. I can also turn the lights down with the ballast to 50% and let the leaves soak up the foliar spray. Then lower my lights and turn the ballast back up to 100%.

I've never checked pH. I didn't think I had too. I know for hydroponics you want a pH level between 5.8 and 6.8. I have a dial soil pH meter. It says I am just below 7

The blood meal bone meal dolomite lime are all just sitting there not doing any good unless you have microbes in that soil breaking it down. Let me guess you are just using plain old water thinking everything is good its not get some nutrients to feed it at a low ppm phed to 6.5. It doenst look like a mag deficiency to me. But if you want to do the mag 1gr of epsom salt to one gal of r/o water ppm at 0 came to 100 ppms when mixed in the water when I checked this yesterday so I suggest that 1gr epsom salt per gallon of clean water and start there. And if you already added mag you dont need to keep adding it at a lower rate from what you posted above so dont its in there.

You need microbes and maybe some humic acid and water those in a lite feeding of nutrients and some kelp couldnt hurt either. And those damaged leaves are not coming back focus on the new growth.

Oh yeah you definitely need to check pH. You seem to be growing organically so im not sure if your medium setup supposed to automatically buffer
But your water for example should have the correct ph, im in soil and keep my water at 6.5 to 7

Looks like a pH issue to me as well.

How much lime did you add to how much soil base? @bearded.beaver talk with this guy ---> @projectinfo he's got a few runs under his belt with this style of grow. He has a couple threads in the organic section.

You have microbes already in your soil mix from the compost/organic matter content, but you can enhance your diversity and microbe function through the use of probiotics.
