Only three officials at the FEC with new resignation of Mathew Peterson, should be 6, at least need 4 to do their job.

Since too few members they won't be able to hold official meetings, issue fines, make new rules, conduct and approve audits or even offer official advice. Not all Trumps fault it seems though, been too few since Bush Jr. I would be curious if Obama had any he tried to appoint and Mitch just stalled them out in the Senate. They need to fix the way these appointments are made, we deserve a fully functional government that we pay damn good money to have.

Maybe something where if the president goes x amount of days without appointing someone for the senate to confirm, the agency elects them from their ranks.
