I visited my first hydroponics store today and engrossed the owner in what had to be a 2 hour long conversation on growing techniques.

I had to have doubled my knowledge of growing in those two hours. I feel very zen like.

yea some of the shop have some real knowledgeable cats walking around up in um...I did the same thing yesterday with the owner of a new shop that just opened up around my way...

haha damn, are you speaking from experience? That sucks.

In a weird way I'm kind of glad my time in the army took away my ability to sleep. I never really "sleep" it's more like a light rest. I wake up if the wind blows.

haha naw i was jus fucin around, you do learn alot tho, a place i went to a got a bunch of free sample's, and this cheesy 50 watt HPS bulb haha. it was a younger guy, a lil older then me so he was cool. gave me some tips, was in there for a good hour, so a lil less then you, mostly walkin around the place. he was owner and only employee so he was looking for some business, still got a bunch of his cards haha

Well...he had the entire place (9000 watts) hooked up with a water to air exchange cooling system. No ducting, just hoods and a few black water hoses. They were so efficient he was placing his hand against the tempered glass of a 1000 watt HPS hood.

Aside from him trying to push me toward buying some of those Advanced Nutrients overpriced nutes I learned a bunch about cooling, hoods, nutes, LED lighting, Ceramic MH lighting (Awesome balanced spectrum!!) I could go on and on. Very knowledgeable guy, I will definitely be going back.

damn...i have to go to wikipedia now too...of course, I've already fallen for the Advanced Nutrients lecture too. I'm not finding them too expensive since I don't do really big grows - and I don't use as much as the calcultor says. still works for me
