Easy question hopefully I get fast replies. I am about to start a new grow with new pellets I read before that I would need to soak the pellets. Exactly in detail can someone explain this process. Do I just set the PH to 5.6 one time and throw them in the bucket to soak? Or do I have to keep adjusting the PH untill it stop fluctuating?

I just rinse my clay pebbles with hose water in a strainer until the water runs clean.

then I give it a couple shakes to get excess water out, and put the pebbles into the system.

soaking it seems like a giant pain in the ass and a waste of time.

just rip a hole on the top of the bag. Put it in ur bath tub turn the shower on and let hot water run on it for a few hours while shaking the bag from time to time.

Ok so there is no need to PH adjust them then?

the stuff is completly inert, meaning it wont effect TDS or PH readings, rinse it good though, or you will get red clayish mud in your system, the bathtub technique works well

When cleaning my hydroton I use a laundry basket as a strainer and hose down until it runs clear for a couple minutes.

I wouldnt sweat the PH on the first soak unless your water is waaay out of whack.
