Hydroponics? I need help (newbie@hydro)

Im into growing for myself, maybe 2 plants ScrOG style or something of the sort. I was reading into this "Bubbler" its pretty easy to make and I got a couple of books but none of em with in-depth details on hydroponics. I remember someone told me i needed a PPM meter so i wouldnt have to refill a whole reservoir of solution everytime, i dont even know how to read one. Like do the roots have to be in the water with the bubbles splashing em while theyre in or just above the water so bubbles hit em. Theres that and the book recommended I use 30% of the strength solution they listed on the bottle, I was thinking about going with FoxFarm Grow and TigerBloom. Also, is there a way to grow 2 plants in one bubbler? Not sure if i have to set it up differently with the hoses and pumps ect or just make another hole. The set up says use 3 gallon buckets, but theres people here using like 20gallon tubs. Help please

Check the FAQ.

Get a PPM Meter, The insturctions on the bottle are not a hole lot of use and should only be used a s ruth guide.

You need 3 to 5 gals of water per plant, IF you are growing multibul plants in the same unit make sure they are all girls as the roots will tangle togeather.

As it is now summer, the mian problem with growing DWC is keeping the REZ temp low.

im new to this site and for real, i dont even know how to use a forum to great but i have a "bubbler" with 11 3inch net pots in it. its kind of a "seedling/early veg bubbler" i came up with. but my problem is that i read contradicting things out of the 2 growbibles and 2 hydro books i got. one says just water 3-4 weeks into it another says 300ppm is what you would want for seedling. the problems i have now could be lack of nuts or that my tap water sucks(tap water ppm of 170) idk. i used storage tub(3gal) for my set up. i read they drink lvl of water down let roots breath and then top it off after a day or so of roots breathing but my water lvl isnt droppin worth shit. any help anybody can give with my ppm prob is greatly appreciated

Yea man I dont even know how to measure with the PPM meter or how ppm tells me how much of whatever solution to put in haha. Im keeping it easy on the hydro set up with just 1 plant per bubbler for now. But i wish there was a more elaborate book on this hydroponics thing, i cant find one and I dont wanna go buy a book on hydroponics and find out its wrong for a cannabis plant and screw up my stock. I read Ed Rosanthal's Garden Tips, 8 oz for under 100$ and The Cannabis Grow Bible IV. They tell alot on hydro but i just need more elaboration on the ppm meter and how much should i top off to be at the exact amount. I am like glazed and confused

I wouldn't start my seedling with nutrients. I'd do this:

1st week ditilled water
2nd week 250ppm
3rd week 350-400ppm
4th week 500+ppm

This really insures that you're not going to burn your plants... which is easy to do.

lol uh ok . . .my tap water has too much crap in it. made my parts-per-million to high to not have n-u-t-r-i-e-n-t-s in it. so i cut it 50/50 with "distilled" w-a-t-e-r that has 0 p.p.m. leaving me with 90 p.p.m. then i added equal amounts of "general hydroponics" 3-part-nutrient. ... that brought me to 300 parts-per-million

Those books are a good base.

But really, start growing and serach these forums. There comes a piont when the only way you will lern is by trying to do it.
Sounds to me like you have a good enough understanding, just need some experance,.
