HydrOponic Ebb And Flow System

ok im doin another hydro grow and need some help and comments if this system will work. k here is the system i am building..

ohh yea and another thing the timer on the pump will run the water cycle 10 times a Day for 15 minute intervals

If you are doing like the link than you dont have to flood that many times a day.4 or 5 times a day to start,if they need more you can add a watering.You dont want to drown them.You dont feed baby {human babys table food,}same thing with plants in a ebb&flood just ease them in to more.what kind of light and vented air you going to do? PEACE

yeah but i may have to do it like 10 times a day because hydroton grow rocks are not like rockwool cubes..they do not contain as much water..

Those growrocks will hold quite a bit of water, even with the large spaces in between them. Try this for yourself, fill a pot with wet growrocks, and let it sit for a day or two, then dump it and check the rocks for wetness.

That system did not look like what I know to be an ebb and flow system. It looks like the plants float on the water. My ebb and flow system floods a tray once every so often, then drains, the plants sit on the bottom of the tray. Am I wrong? If so, please let me know what kind of system I am using.

The pix is of a ebb&flood system.It has a cover that the net pots hang in.Your tray is like mine but I have a cover and 5"pots hanging down in the tray.You might want to add some hydoton {clay balls}to your tray,about 1 or 2"inches so went the roots come out the bottom of the cubes they will be covered from the light.PEACE

i have a different method of an ebb and flow..i dont use rockwool..i use net pots and hydroton rocks..like the pic..

Check out my closet. It actually has both of your systems. The top is ebb n flow like Chabnock's over there, and the bottom veg. chamber is like Kush's. I think. I need a better pic. Whenever you do get some pix, hook us up.

wassup, there are not too many of us ebbnflow guys on this site. That I have found anyway. Do you got a journal. If so, put up a link. I want to see your grow.

I just got these pieces of coco sheets today, that I placed under my plants for the roots to grow into, thanks for the info. Here is the journal I have. Any help you guys have for me would be greatly appreciated. But please I have tender feelings about this babies, please read the thread before telling me what I am doing wrong. I am still fixing things to make it better. This is only my second grow, first time with this new system and flowering room.

Tokecrazy~ i am using T5 fluorescent 4ft 4bulb fixture..it pulls 20,000 lumens!! and since im using fluorescent lights im only gonna put a fan on the ladys..its a closet grow..and i dont have that much space ..so i am gonna grow 10 plants..take some clones and plant em outside in the greenhouse..my closet is 5'wide X 7' tall.

and i will start my journal as soon as i find my Ph monitering unit..it was 80$..i have to find it

Get a few of the 43 watt cfls with the reflectors. they are really cheap and you can use them to put light from the sides.

Yea those T5's you will not have alot of heat with them.Cool that you can grow your clones and sex them before you put them out in the greenhouse.Are you still going to use the ebb&flood in the greenhouse?PEACE
