HYDRO vs ROLS SIP POT

hey guys I have been wanting to run a few experiments but unfortunately I don't have a hydro system to compare to so I'm hoping in the thread to post what info I have found and learned over my last 2 cycles of experimenting with my sip pot!! and hopefully get some info and feed back from you guys! all arguing and fighting is highly welcome... lol

well I compared my sip pot method to my regular 10g smart pots with the same rols soil! only other difference is the smart pots got top dressings and compost teas, and a alot of time and care, the sip only got plain water, and em1 water only! no maintenance no time no doing pretty much anything! and the sip pot blew away all the other plants, twice!!!! it grew bigger, stronger, taller, and faster than every other plant!!! I know that hydro already does this and outgrows soil plants bc of the hydro water roots! having water roots and less restrictions allow the plants to far surpass all soil grows!!!

well with this sip idea I feel I can get the best of both worlds!! I get the organics and benifits of having microbes working for me plus the turp profiles that can only be achieved with organics! but on the other hand in the bottom of my sip pot the roots reach into the rez and develop "water roots" which allows the girls to grow super fast and big like all you hydro nuts out there, lol!

basically my sip is based off Alan akkassion probiotics zip growing method!
he has fungal dominated on top (from the grokashi that covers the compost) and bacteria dominated on the bottom from the anaerobic EM1! But the middle is my recycled organic living soil with all of my wonderful microbial life! I haven't been able to get too "sciency" yet with exactly how and why this works so well! but hopefully we can all figure that out together!!!

I got both a sip and a hydro system, i got the city pickers SIP and a waterfarm RDWC hydro system.

It is more or less, a "wicking" system. I use 2, 10gal plastic totes. 1, I make 1 tote like a giant "netpot" and I set that one inside a 2nd tote with a spacer of some kind. 2nd tote has a drain hole at bottom with a clear tube up the outside so I can drain or gauge my water height.

Different systems with different outcomes, if you are going for flavors i think the sip will be best but for yield and speed of growth and frost levels nothing beats hydro.
I'm honestly all about flavor and yeild! when it come to potency well yeah I like it strong but I'm not trying to win any kinda "most thc" competition! for me it's all about growing connoisseur grade buds!!! which is what turned me onto organics in the first place! not to mention it's literally half the cost of running hydro! I can go months without spending and using anything!!!

I'm too lazy for "hydro" lol Hell, I never take PH tests or anything. I might not mess with the garden for a day or 2, then I will go in and water do what needs done and they are normally fine. I am the perfect grower for "cannabis stressing." So send me those testers and I will "stress" them out for ya. lol

I grow both hydro and organic, i agree organic a lot easier to grow too, less maintenance.
