Hydro System in closet

Hey everybody

I started months ago in soil, and i gotta say, it sucks. too much hassle

I came on here and after reading articles (thanks roseman and others) i decided to go hydro.

I bought the container, and the water pump, air pump, and all the other stuff that rollitup's members say to use.

i got the reflective paper stuff on the walls.

my lights: 600w metal halide, 4 CFL bright white, 4 cfl daylight (lil redder)

WATER: - i fill up a bucket w water and add the stuff for fishtanks to remove chlorine/cloramine, i add botanicare pureblend progrow, and some dolomitic lime, and let it sit for 3 days to remove any crap... after 3 days, i stir it, and add it to the tank

i germinate the seeds in coco pods, then transfer into the rockwool.

this set up is great and i need to make like 3more for all the babies on the right side of the images... before they grow any more...

anyways, it looks great i think, and super easy to maintain. just check air/water temp, humidity, ph, and dont use too much ferts....

thanks for the help guys, ill be back to post more pics as they grow. any advice is welcome

that lime might screw up your water pump, I've never seen anyone add so many additives. Seems like all of that would mess with your pH too.

I hope you run it through a strainer or filter

You sent me a message to look, visit and respond.

You asked me about my water pump.

I use both a 200 gph and a 240 gph, in separate tanks, and I can not tell any difference between the two.

You do not want a solid flow or contstant flow of water. If it was a steady stream of solid water, you would have a DRIP system, and need a timer on the water pump or they would drown.
With BUBBLEPONICS, you want a trickle, a slow feed of half water and half bubbles.

yea the water that comes out is on a very slow trickle and its full of bubbles. i got the biggest airpump i could find and its pushing air out of 2 1ft long airstones that rest at the bottom of the reservoir. frothy is prob the best description. the dolomitic lime seems to dissolve pretty well. all the additives keep the water at about 5.8 pH.

thanks for the help

last night i separated all the plants and got ready to flower the larger 7. ProBloom, HPS light bulb all ready to go. ill have pics on soon (camera charging)
