This question has me assuming the Poster is not in a medical state , therefore I would not advise speaking plant specific . Use generic terms and reference more than just tomatoes . Perhaps you like to grow and assortment of things such as Coleus , Vegetables , Flowers as well as Houseplants .
Its usually easy though for an Employee to read between the lines even when not spoken outloud . Many products are a dead giveaway as well as large volumes . The key to not raising suspicion on any part is to be the inconspicuous little guy that keeps to himself ..
I live in a medical state and it amazes me how up front most people are with no general care when shopping , but there are those wise ones who follow the old school rules and they are never speaking in plant specific terms unless using a general reference . Keep safe and grow safe !
